SOX Express for Great Plains

Great Plains Energy has selected OpenPages Sarbanes-Oxley Express (SOX Express) for its global compliance initiative. SOX Express is used to automate a company's evaluation process and internal controls documentation. In particular so they can achieve compliance with Sections 302 and 404 of the act. “OpenPages’ solution demonstrated strong domain expertise in the areas of governance, risk and compliance,” said Lori Wright, Controller, Great Plains Energy. “We felt that OpenPages demonstrated a clear vision, and backed it up with a commitment to product quality and customer success.” Great Plains is based in Kansas City and is the holding company for Kansas City Power & Light and Strategic Energy LLC. The suite itself is an enterprise compliance management solution. Features include document management, business process management and reporting capabilities. Testing and reviewing of internal controls can be a time consuming and expensive business. Following the introduction of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, compliance management has become one of the hottest growth areas for automation. |
